The best spots on the coast west of Australia

Western Australia, occupying the vast expanse of the country’s western coast, is a land of rugged beauty and diverse landscapes. From the sun-kissed beaches of Perth to the ancient rock formations of the Kimberley, Western Australia beckons adventurers with its untamed wilderness and rich cultural heritage.

Perth (Australia)

  • Perth is the main city on the Western Coast. Worth to visit the tower, the park, the bridge, the Bali Memorial for in people who died during the attacks, the queen’s garden.
  • Fremantle located nearby, offer bars and restaurants.
  • Rottnest Island is a beautiful island to discover by bike or walk. Have a nice view of the sea, corals and landscape. Meet the quokkas, a little animal the size of a small cat. Flies flying all around all the time. It can be quite dangerous when you are driving a bike.




Perth to Broome in 10 days

While making the journey from Perth to Broome, there is only few recommended stops in between hundred kilometres and long hours of driving under the hot sun and car warmed from the reflection of the sun hitting the bottom of the car.

Take plenty of water in stock. It is recommended to drink every 15min when you are hiking so 2h at least per day. Otherwise, you could get a heatstroke, when a few hours after the hike when you are resting.

The towns or interesting points to stop by on your way:

  • Pinnacles
    First one or two hours stop on your journey to the North
  • Kalbarri
    You can sleep in a farm and start abseiling in the National Park early in the morning with the sunrise.
  • Monkey Mia
    Morning – Afternoon show to feed the dolphins. You need to pay an entry to get to the feeding program. At night, you can hear the dolphins playing and swimming around the jetty under stared sky.
  • Coral Bay
    water activities around 160$ to snorkel or dive with Manta Rays or walk along the coast and nice view from the top of a hill.
  • Exmouth
    watch for the turtles at night when it’s the full moon. Lots of flies during day time. Visit the Ningaloo Coast World Heritage Center to watch the beautiful sunset on the Sea. Beach and snorkel. Sleep under safari tent and see the bush forest
  • Karijini
    Wonderfull walk at the bottom of the gorge, need to walk in the water, swim and jump into a natural pool, walk like a spider down some rocks.
  • Joffre Gorge
    Walk down the stairs made out of the rocks
  • Dales Gorge
    Stop for a swim and sunbathe next to the small waterfall made out of a different level of rocks
  • Bromme
