Travelling in Costa Rica
Travelling by bus from one city to another city in Central America is very slow.
- The local bus, would be your cheapest option.
- There is some shuttle bus available
- At some point to cross lake instead of taking the bus that goes up and down the hills, you can catch a boat, it saves you a lot of time: for example from Monteverde to La Fortuna.
- Crossing the border by foot in Central America can be a bit tricky if you are not used to as in Asia, you need to find your way around yourself and keep in mind a few advice! Depending on the situation, the people that you meet (border guards…). You will need to
- Enter a room to check your luggage,
- get a stamp first to exit the country, but
- Don’t forget to find the building to enter the next country, the border is not connected, so actually, you can walk in clandestine.
